The history between Soulja Boy and Kanye West is complicated, to say the least. During the time they debuted, they were viewed as polar opposites. Soulja Boy was initially considered to be one of the worst rappers ever. Kanye West, meanwhile, was viewed as the most creative rapper in history.
Kanye West gave Soulja Boy his co-sign, which shocked the hip hop world. When Kanye was working on 808’s & Heartbreak, he had Soulja Boy in the studio with him. But, when Kanye West released the album, Soulja Boy was nowhere to be found. It wasn’t until Donda, in 2021, that Soulja Boy revealed how angry he was with Kanye West over this.
Soulja Boy and Kanye West were able to work past their problems, thankfully. Kanye West spoke about Soulja Boy on “Drink Champs,” where he eventually apologized for leaving him off the album. Despite the two ending their beef, Soulja Boy shared his texts from Kanye West. The first texts were Kanye West threatening Soulja Boy. Meanwhile, the later texts were Kanye West asking Soulja Boy for verses to get on Donda 2. On Twitter, fans are trying to figure out what’s going on, as Soulja Boy said there’s no beef.
