When 50 Cent reached his peak, he signed several other artists to G-Unit Records, focusing more on the record label than the group. Going against the grain, 50 Cent defied Interscope Records and dropped a G-Unit album instead of his second disc. It is a risk that paid off, making stars out of the team.

Among the stars 50 Cent help make were Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Game, and his current rival?, Tony Yayo. Other signees included Mobb Deep and M.O.P., but on the West Coast, Spider Loc was an addition. He received some buzz late in 2005, when his “Elementary” single appeared on NBA Live: 06.

Spider Loc recently talked to High End Hip Hop and G-Unit came up during their conversation. The business move 50 Cent made in February was the spark of a lot of discussion. In the interview, Spider Loc gave his opinion on this and how he began rapping on the Los Angeles streets.
