SPOILER ALERT: #Empire season 2, episode 3 ‘Fires of Heaven’ [VIDEO]
Two episodes in, “Empire” is going stronger than ever in season two, even though they finally had an episode decline. But, people are more obsessed with Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) and company than ever before. Plenty of momentum carries them into next week’s episode.
Last week saw Lucious overcome the odds in prison to release a chart-topping single, “Snitch Bitch,” and get sprung from prison. Along the way, Officer McKnight (Ludacris) got his ribs cracked. Jamal (Jussie Smollett), meanwhile, has become more comfortable in the hot seat.
Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) saw her dream record label fall apart when she shot down Anika (Grace Gealey) being a part of the company. This, paired with Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray), sent Andre (Trai Byers) over the edge. He left the new label, as Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) informed Jamal he wanted to return to Empire, but Lucious coldly rejected him.
Revealing, via flashbacks, that he is harder on Andre because his mother (Kelly Rowland) suffered from mental illnesses, Lucious is now in for the fight of his life.

Lucious makes bail due to new attorney, Thirsty Rollins (Andre Royo)

Andre and Rhonda may announce their pregnancy to the family (sans Jamal, who already knows) in order to get Lucious to let Andre rejoin Empire
Andre talks to Lucious about making a mess go away, possibly admitting to Rhonda killing Vernon (Malik Yoba)
The FBI raids Empire’s offices after Roxanne Ford (Tyra Ferrell) threatens Cookie into cooperating by saying she will target her sons if she doesn’t help her land Lucious back in prison
Jamal ends up performing with Pitbull
Hakeem steps up in order to prove Lucious chose the wrong son
