SPOILER ALERT: #Empire Season 3, Episode 7 “What We May Be” [VIDEO]

It’s been a while since “Empire” aired and even longer since it aired regularly. There are plenty of frustrated viewers, but “Empire” is getting back on track in time for the winter break. Last week’s episode left off with Empire’s system being hacked.

In the end, Andre (Trai Byers) ended up being behind the hack with help from Vaughn (French Montana). Playing the role of concerned son, Andre was by Lucious’ (Terrence Howard) side the entire time. He set up Gram (Romeo Miller) who was beaten by Shine (Xzibit).

Tonight’s episode, however, will see the debut of Phylicia Rashad, who plays Angelo’s (Taye Diggs) mom, Diana. She will be meeting Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), who is working hard to impress her. Meanwhile, Lucious is still up to his usual games.

Cookie is hosting a family dinner to impress Angelo’s mom, Diana.

In order to make this happen, Cookie recruits Candace (Vivica A. Fox) to help her out.

Lucious crashes the party with Anika (Grace Byers) and Hakeem’s (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) daughter, Bella.

Jamal (Jussie Smollett) runs across some old videos of Cookie and the family that he uses for his music video as inspiration, as he overcomes his writing bloc.

Cookie gets upset after seeing these videos, as it reminds her of her tepid past with her father and siblings.

Cookie demands Jamal to stop using those videos, but she still has to confront her past demons.

Jamal decides to not get in the middle of Andre and Jamal’s beef over Nessa (Sierra McClain).

Andre puts together a surprising duet, but may screw Tiana (Serayah) over.
