Sprinkle Me .. E-40 is getting love in the #NBAonABC commercial break, with them playing his song; Fans on Twitter react, saying it’s only right since the Warriors are playing #NBAFinals

The NBA deserves a lot of props for realizing the unspoken marriage between The Association and hip hop and making it official. Now, they have playoff campaigns with theme songs led by Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. It should have been that way years ago, but it is now.

Given all of the recent love for the Bay Area, it’s symbolic that the Golden State Warriors would rise to power. Back in 2014, they were the sleeper pick for the title. When the season started, everybody woke up, and they haven’t missed an NBA Finals’ since

Game 1, between the Warriors and Cavs is everything a hoops fan could dream of, down to Chef Curry’s halftime buzzer beater. The hip hop fans also get some, too. After Curry hit his buzzer beater, ABC went to commercial break, playing E-40’s “Sprinkle Me,” which set the 80s and 90s babies off, on Twitter.
