Last fall, Rick Ross added Ohio standout, Stalley, to Maybach Music. With the hardcore and commercial lanes of hip hop filled, Rick Ross sought to add a more lyricial rapper to the label. Immediately, Stalley fit right in with Maybach Music, as he and Rick Ross sport similar beards.
Since joining Maybach Music, Stalley has continued to release mixtapes. Most recently, Stalley released Savage Journey to the American Dream. Each mixtape has gained more fanfare for the rising rapper. Stalley also had a chance to be a part of the second annual Self Made album from Maybach Music.
While at the 2012 BET Awards, MTV News caught up with Stalley. During the conversation, Stalley spoke on his debut album. Without giving a release date, Stalley revealed his album would be coming in 2013. Previously, Wale revealed his album would be coming in 2013, along with possibly Gunplay’s, while Rick Ross and Meek Mill will release this summer.
