Starla Marie to release novel, “The Life of a Hustla’s Wife,” on April 13

Hip hop goes much deeper than the music, the glitz, and the glamour. A lifestyle comes along with the hip hop world. This lifestyle is portrayed in the media through music videos, interviews, and literary work. Countless hip hop websites have popped up documenting the culture and several films and books have been inspired by the lifestyle.

Close to one month ago, Starla Marie was featured on Hip Hop Vibe as Hottie of the Week. During her interview, Starla Marie talked about many of the projects she had in the works. Among the projects was her novel, The Life of a Hustla’s Wife. Through “trap” music, hip hop has been introduced to “hustlin,'” but has only been told from the man’s perspective.

Starla Marie is doing something that has never been done before in showing the world the other side of the hustler’s life. Evidenced by the title, The Life of a Hustla’s Wife details what the woman behind the man goes through in this lifestyle. Serving as motivation to everyone, the novel is due next month, on April 13.
