In terms of successful female rappers, 2017-2018 is one of the biggest years since 1996 for the femcee. This era is led by Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, but there are many other players. Also making noise is Stefflon Don, Kash Doll, Remy Ma, and many other ladies.
Stefflon Don actually debuted a year ago, delivering “Hurtin’ Me,” her single with French Montana. The song wasn’t an instant hit, however, as it didn’t blow up until the spring. When the spring hit, Stefflon Don had choice words about Cardi B, during her album promo run.
Recently, Stefflon Don released the cover for herĀ Secure mixtape. The cover pays homage to Lil’ Kim and it’s received tons of praise. But, it came with a price, as Stefflon Don said Foxy Brown blocked her on IG.
