In 2015, both Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving were given a much bigger spotlight than they were used to. Curry had seen some spotlight, due to his and Klay Thompson’s performances in the 2013 and 2014 playoffs, where he shot the lights out. Irving, meanwhile, made his playoff debut.

Kyrie Irving and Steph Curry would soon begin facing off, every year, in the Finals. In 2016, Irving hit the game-winner, capping off Cleveland’s historic comeback against Curry’s Warriors. Many claim that series was rigged and Kyrie couldn’t carry his own team.

Following Golden State’s revenge, in 2017, Kyrie Irving asked to be traded, landing with the Boston Celtics. Since then, they have dominated the East, and make for this marquee matchup. With both their teammates playing badly, Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving are putting on one show.
