Out of nowhere, the Golden State Warriors became a dynasty, at a time when the NBA wasn’t producing dynasties. The Warriors won three titles in five years. Had Draymond Green not gotten suspended, in 2016, it may have been four titles in five years, consecutively.
Stephen Curry was the leader of the Golden State Warriors, during the early years. Drafted in 2009, Curry became the franchise player, leading them into the playoffs, in 2013. The next year, the took the Clippers to a Game 7, before taking over the NBA.
This season, the Golden State Warriors have struggled, mightily, losing their three games by blowout margins. With Kevin Durant gone and Klay Thompson out for the season, Stephen Curry has faced a lot of criticism, from him not being the same player, to people saying he can’t lead a team. But, tonight, he dropped 62 points, on the Portland Trail Blazers, and Twitter is eating those words, giving the two-time MVP many props.
