The sting of last year’s NBA Finals have defined the Golden State Warriors, even more than their record wins. It says a lot about a team when a 67-15 record is their WORST record in three seasons. That epitomizes the high standards of Steph Curry’s team.
However, LeBron James has only won a championship with one 60-win team, 2013’s 66-16 Miami Heat. The fact is, LeBron James doesn’t need 60 win seasons, his first title came after a lockout. His third came with a 57 win team, last year’s Cavs, over the 73-9 Warriors.
Stephen A. Smith was on “SportsCenter,” this morning, where he addressed the 2017 NBA Finals. Even after last season’s collapse, sports pundits are giving the Warriors a 90% chance to win the title. On paper, the Warriors should win, but Stephen A. points out how LeBron James likes being the underdog, just as his Cavaliers were last season.
