Stephen Curry is the unlikeliest face of the NBA. Curry’s career did not begin with him as an All-Star. Nor did the Golden State Warriors become immediate contenders. Yet and still, Stephen Curry has become the NBA’s highest paid player, and is on the verge of signing a $1 billion deal to remain with Under Armour for the rest of his career.

Stephen Curry, like most other NBA players, originally had a partnership with Nike. However, right before his first MVP campaign, Curry left Nike for a partnership with Under Armour. The deal was more lucrative for Curry. Not only does he get to create his own merchandise, but Curry also gets to do his own basketball camps, which Under Armour provides the backing for.

Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to the championship, back in June. This made the fourth NBA championship in eight years, for Curry. Now, there are arguments about where Curry belongs, in the conversation about the best players of all time. Adding Finals MVP to his resume helped Curry. In addition, Curry is being compared to Michael Jordan. According to Rolling Stone, Stephen Curry is negotiating a deal that is worth $1 billion with Under Armour, which will be a lifetime deal.
