Steve Nash retires from the NBA after playing eighteen years

In the mid-2000s, Steve Nash helped change the fortunes of the struggling Phoenix Suns. Before Nash returned to the franchise, they were far from a tough opponent. But, Steve Nash turned in consecutive MVP seasons where the Suns were championship contenders.

While Steve Nash began his career with the Phoenix Suns, he rose to fame as a member of the Dallas Mavericks. Playing alongside Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Finley, they turned that team into a contender. But, Steve Nash earned his stripes with the Suns.

Steve Nash played an additional season with the Los Angeles Lakers, but his seasons were injury riddled. With no set return in sight, many wondered what Steve Nash would do next. He made his announcement this morning, he is set to retire from the NBA, having last played in 2014.
