Kids are getting out of hand and people are wondering why. At school, the kids are so bad that the teachers are quitting in the middle of class. There is one overlooked reason for the kids to be acting out so badly. The internet. Quite simply, kids watch videos on the internet and they begin to adapt to that behavior as their own. In this situation, a teacher was disciplining a student for acting out. The student refused to accept this. He repeatedly told the teacher he is “an alpha.”

The internet has become such a big place that there’s a niche for everything. A demographic that has seen tremendous growth is the “bro” culture. There are several leaders of that pack that are all about masculinity. However, this can be very problematic. Many of these people leading these channels have been accused of overcompensating. Furthermore, many of the people following these channels don’t have a full understanding of what they’re doing.

So when a student is in class, he is ignoring what his job is. To be clear, a student’s job is to learn, and follow the teacher’s instructions. When a student refuses to do so, they become subject to negative consequences. Clearly, this student who ended up on the wrong side of the rules was watching some of these YouTube channels. Because he was acting out, his teacher had to punish him. The student told him he refused to accept this, because he is an alpha.
