Right before Christmas, Nicki Minaj delivered the second single from her upcoming second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The single was called “Stupid Hoe” and was considered, by many, as a diss toward Lil’ Kim. Since the summer of 2010, Lil’ Kim has had several negative comments about Nicki Minaj, to which she began responding to in the fall of 2010.

“Stupid Hoe” was immediately a hit with Nicki Minaj fans and it added to her ever-growing legacy. Before the end of 2011, Nicki Minaj announced she was going to soon have a music video ready for her new single. On January 20, 2012, Nicki Minaj released the official video of “Stupid Hoe” on Vevo. Soon, Nicki Minaj would set Vevo history with the most video views in a 24-hour span.

The good news for Nicki Minaj ended there, as she has hit a snag in the promotion of her new video. BET, known for airing hip hop music videos, has announced “Stupid Hoe” will not be added to their rotation. Executives at BET said the Hype Williams-produced music video will not air because it is too explicit. However, the multitude of hip hop websites will continue to post the “Stupid Hoe” video, thus increasing the overall views of the video.
