Suge Knight arrested in Las Vegas

If there is one person no stranger to controversy, it is Suge Knight. He rose to prominence by capitalizing off Dr. Dre’s rift with Eazy-E and Ruthless Records. When Death Row Records reached the height of their success, in the mid-1990s, it was fueled by Tupac Shakur and his hatred of Bad Boy Records. This hatred was the reason Suge Knight sought to sign Shakur to his label.

The feud between Death Row and Bad Boy Records had horrendous results, leading to the deaths of both stars, Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. In the time since then, Suge Knight has had a hard time re-establishing himself in the game. Several times, he attempted to revive Death Row Records, but nothing came of the deals and he was eventually forced to sell the label.

Now, Suge Knight has had another run-in with law enforcement. While driving through Las Vegas, the former mogul was pulled over for an unsafe lane change. Upon stopping Knight, law enforcement learned of several arrest warrants for Knight, stemming from several traffic violations. The police officers decided to search Knight’s Bentley and found marijuana, leading to his arrest.

Suge Knight was released the same day and is currently a free man.
