Suge Knight Officially Sentenced To 28 Years In Prison For Manslaughter Of Terry Carter On Set Of Straight Outta Compton

Suge Knight has officially been sentenced to 28 years in prison for an incident stemming back to January 2015 where he ran over 55-year-old Terry Carter on the set of Straight Outta Compton, according to KTLA 5. Knight has stuck to his defense that he had to take action when Cle ‘Bone’ Sloan was also present and armed. He ran over Sloan then proceeded to go after Carter.

Knight had previously pleaded no contest to the manslaughter charge. This plea deal prevented murder and attempted murder charges to be added on. Knight’s charges violate the three strikes law in California and that was grounds for an additional six years in prison.

Knight’s son Suge Jacob took to Instagram today to express his disapproval over the sentencing saying they robbed his father out of life but said his dad is strong and won’t fold in prison at all. He also added how many prominent black figures’ names such as Knight’s are getting tainted with convictions.

Knight’s sentencing also comes a day after his son made the claim that Tupac is still alive in Malaysia as he posted a video of someone who appears to be Pac. Suge Knight made a name for himself in the 1990s by launching Death Row Records and signing names such as Tupac and Dr. Dre.
