Summer Walker speaks on being snubbed from Grammys again
Summer Walker has proved over the last three years, that she is one of the most dominant R&B artists in the industry. Her first two albums debuted in the top two of the Billboard 200 chart, as she’s created a myriad of hits
However, Walker was snubbed out of any Grammy nominations, once again. The list of nominees were revealed on Tuesday, as Walker was one of the artists that many fans were shocked to not received a nomination, at all.
Now, Walker is speaking on the nominations, on Instagram, as she seems surprised, as well. She says the “math isn’t mathing,” but thanked her fans for continuing to support her, the way they always have.
“And for the grammys for a 2nd time, the math is literally not mathing. I was gone post some numbers but it’s ok. At least the streets fuq with me. y’all always pack out every show & support every time I drop so thanks for the love I do receive [white heart emoji].”
A year ago, Walker released her sophomore album, “Still Over It,” which went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. As a result, that was her first number one project, as it was led by singles such as “Ex For A Reason” featuring JT, and “No Love,” featuring SZA. The No Love remix went on to include Cardi B.
Summer also trended last week, for ending her relationship with her boyfriend, Larry aka LVRD Pharoh. This is while she’s still pregnant, with her second child, and Larry’s first.
