Summer Walker was one of the biggest breakout artists of 2018 and the momentum carried over into 2019 as she released her “Girls Need Love” remix featuring Drake. This went on to appear on her debut studio album, ‘Over It,’ in the fall. This project also featured the singles “Stretch You Out” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and “Playing Games.” Playing Games ended up receiving an extended version featuring Bryson Tiller.

Tiller’s verse appeared with less than a minute left on Playing Games but it was still a fan-favorite. Its momentum is still going as according to Chart Data, it has sold 2 million units which makes it certified 2x platinum. It first went platinum on March 26. The music video for Playing Games now has over 27 million views as well.

Walker also went on her ‘The First and Last Tour‘ which concluded in Atlanta in December. Many dates were canceled though due to the R&B star citing her issues with social anxiety. Hopefully, this actually isn’t the last tour Walker will be on as she is definitely one of the best in R&B. It’ll be interesting to see if she decides to release her sophomore album this year as well.
