When many people think of Southern hip hop, often Atlanta, and it’s surrounding areas are mentioned. But, Miami has dominated the rap game for the past twenty years. In the late 80s, Uncle Luke came, and then Trick Daddy dominated the mid-1990s through 2004.
DJ Khaled has reigned since 2006, opening the doors for countless rappers, in and out of Florida. Also prominent in Miami, helping to push the city forward is Supa Cindy. She is one of 99 Jamz’ top personalities, also an artist, and has Supa TV as a platform for the artists.
Recently, Supa Cindy announced she was doing a cypher for the artists of South Florida. On her Twitter and Instagram, she has asked for artists of all kind. Tonight, Supa Cindy has come forward with her list, which includes Jay Burna, Eric Leon, Koly P, and Ice Berg, among many others.
