Once a fixture in music videos and frequently speaking with the media, Swizz Beatz has been out of the spotlight since marrying Alicia Keys and becoming a father again. While Swizz Beatz disappeared from the media, his name has not. Closing out 2011, Swizz Beatz was a hot topic, as Megaupload was shut down and he was rumored to be the new CEO of the company.
Swizz Beatz never spoke on the situation, but “sources close to Swizz” said he is involved with Megaupload and their issues with the government would not hinder his work with them. Aside from his rumored ties with Megaupload, there was not much from Swizz Beatz. Recently, he returned, appearing alongside breakout Harlem star, A$AP Rocky.
Alongside A$AP Rocky, Swizz Beatz has appeared on many behind the scenes videos for their ucpoming collaboration. Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” finally caught up with Swizz Beatz, landing him for an interview where he discussed the Megaupload situation. Swizz Beatz also spoke on his other businesses and the return of New York to hip hop prominence.
