Swizz Beatz says that Anthony Hamilton-Musiq Soulchild Verzuz will be streamed on Instagram, after Verzuz got cooked for saying it won’t be streamed there, and fans have to pay for subscription service

Swizz Beatz says Musiq Soulchild-Anthony Hamilton Verzuz will be on Instagram
Last night, Verzuz got slammed, all over social media. This was due to announcing at the last minute, that their Musiq Soulchild-Anthony Hamilton Verzuz battle on February 15, wouldn’t be streamed on Instagram, as usual. Instead, the platform claimed that fans would also have to pay for a 14-day free trial for heir TrillerVerz pass. After the trial fans would have to pay $2.99 per month.
“THIS VERZUZ WILL NOT BE ON IG,” said Verzuz on IG. “Watch on VERZUZTV.COM with the #TrillerVerzPass (Go to VERZUZTV.COM to sign-up for a 14-day trial)”
Fans have since emphasized that Verzuz is charging people when no one is tuned in anymore, and this move is the nail in the coffin on Verzuz being popular anymore. This comes after Verzuz partnered with Triller, last year.
Now, Swizz Beatz, who co-founded Verzuz, is backtracking, and saying the Anthony Hamilton-Musiq Soulchild will in fact, still be on Instagram, as planned. He also emphasized that he was out the country, at the time of the original announcement.
“See y’all rite here tonight on insta @verzuztv 😂⚡️ Who y’all rocking with @anthonyhamiltonofficial or @musiqsoulchild ? You can also watch in HD on verzuztv.com . I was out the country don’t ask me who did it 😂 it’s fixed 🤷🏽♂️ bless up 🙏🏽 love y’all.”
This is the right decision by Swizz. Most fans definitely wanted to watch on Instagram for free, and not deal with a product that they’ve received for free, since early 2020.
