One person Jay-Z could always count on in the rap game was Swizz Beatz, who is one of his closest affiliates. Both have juggled running rap and running businesses, mirroring each other in choosing the latter. In the case of Jay-Z, he is back with his twelfth studio album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
Already, Jay-Z has moved 1 million copies of his album because of his deal with Samsung. This deal has brought $5 million extra to Jay-Z before the album is set to be released on July 4. However, the album sales will not be recorded by Billboard or the ever-important RIAA.
Swizz Beatz is working closely with Jay-Z on his new album, as he did on his previous album. With the project only a few days away, Swizz Beatz sat down with VIBE and spoke with them about the album. In the interview, they discussed the new music, the sales not being counted, and much more.
