SZA and Beyoncé tie for most wins at 2023 BET Awards

Beyoncé and SZA each win three BET Awards

On Sunday night, the annual BET Awards were held in Los Angeles, as many memorable moments and performances were included. This included various performances that were dedicated to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

Meanwhile, all of the awards were finally presented, following the conclusion of these BET Awards. During the national telecast, Beyoncé won two. In total, she went on to earn three. Furthermore, SZA also went on to take home three BET Awards, which included Video Of The Year and Best Female R&B/Pop Artist. SZA also tied with Beyoncé for the Album Of The Year Award.

SZA an Beyoncé have each had a massive 2022 and 2023. They both released albums in 2022, as Bey delivered her first solo album since 2016, in “Renaissance.” SZA dropped her first album since 2017, in “SOS.” As a result, both projects went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2023, both artists have both been venturing on international tours. Beyoncé’s first US date is coming on July 12. SZA just wrapped up her UK/European leg of the SOS Tour, as additional US dates will resume on September 20, in Miami.
