SZA cancels Toronto concert due to illness
On Wednesday, SZA was scheduled to perform in Toronto, inside the Scotiabank Arena. However, she revealed earlier in the day that she recently became ill, and her voice was also affected.
“I wanted to let you know got sick after jersey and I’m here in Toronto taking a z pack n hella steroids . My body is semi able but my voice is shot I’m trying my best to make it tonight !!! I really need your support I don’t wanna cancel.”
Furthermore, SZA went on to attend her soundcheck, which was hours before the event, and ultimately decided that she couldn’t proceed with the show. She emphasized that she wants to give her fans at 100%, and doesn’t want to perform if she’s unable to do that.
“I’m here at the arena. I just tried to do sound check. I sound terrible. I only want to give you guys 100 per cent, and that’s what you deserve, and I won’t give you any less than that. I promise you I will come back to Toronto and make it up.”
Meanwhile, SZA is currently on the second leg of her SOS North American Tour. The first date kicked off on September 20, in Miami. The tour will run until October 29, in Phoenix.
