SZA earns first number one single with “Kill Bill”
Since December, SZA has been seeing massive success with her new sophomore album, ”SOS.” That project was released early that month, and saw a number one debut in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. That was also SZA’s first number one album of her career. SOS went on to spend its first even weeks at number one, and 10 weeks in total, at that spot.
Meanwhile, one of the latest singles from SZA’s SOS album continues to rack up amazing milestones. This is “Kill Bill” and is now the number one song in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It previously peaked at number two, and has officially claimed the top spot. This comes after Kill Bill achieved 2x platinum status, as well.
SZA released the visuals for Kill Bill over a month ago, as it also included a cameo by Vivica A. Fox. Fans online applauded for how much of a film that the Kill Bill video resembled, as well. Over a week ago, SZA also put out the remix for it, which included a huge feature from Doja Cat.
In addition to the success of Kill Bill, SZA also wrapped up her “SOS” North American Tour. That was her first tour since 2017, and also became her first arena tour. This month, SZA went on to announce more North American dates for the SOS Tour that are coming this fall, as the first dates will kick off in Europe.
