SZA earns three Grammys wins after success of “SOS” album

On Sunday night, SZA came into the 66th annual Grammys as the most nominated artists for the year. This comes as a result of having nine nominations, in total. Moreover, these stemmed from the massive success of her sophomore album, “SOS,” which was released in December 2022. That went on to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart, and marked SZA’s first number one album. Furthermore, it was her first project, since her 2017 debut studio album, “Ctrl,” which was labeled as a classic.

As a result, SZA went on to earn three Grammy wins, on Sunday night. These were in the categories of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, for “Ghost In The Machine” featuring Phoebe Bridgers, SOS for Best Urban Contemporary Album, and “Snooze” winning Best R&B Song.

Meanwhile, in 2024, fans are now waiting on SZA’s “Lana” album. This would serve as the deluxe edition to SOS, as she initially announced this project, in the fall, with 7-10 new expected songs on it. In December, SZA went on to tease various cover arts for the album, as a release date is now still being finalized.
