SZA dominates R&B wins at iHeart Radio Music Awards

The iHeart Radio Music Awards are currently being held in Los Angeles, as SZA is dominated at yet another awards show. She came in tied for the second most nominations for this year’s iHeart Radio Music awards, with eight. The other two artists were Jelly Roll and 21 Savage.

As a result, SZA has just taken home four wins out of the eight categories that she was nominated in. These were for R&B Album Of The Year, R&B Song Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and R&B Artist Of The Year. These wins were for her 2022 Billboard 200 chart-topping “SOS” album, as well as her “Snooze” single, which has been a consistent Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit, over the past year.

SOS was initially released in December of 2022, and became her first number one album. Moreover, it was also her first project since her 2017 debut album, “Ctrl.” 23 songs appeared on SOS, including collaborations with Travis Scott, Phoebe Bridgers, Don Toliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. “Kill Bill” also went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart, last February, and became SZA’s first number one hit. The deluxe edition, “Lana,” is expected to be out sometime in 2024.
