SZA and more perform at TDE’s Christmas concert & toy drive
Over a week ago, the legendary Los Angeles-based Top Dawg Entertainment record label announced plans for their 10th annual Christmas concert, toy drive, and toy giveaway. Moreover, these would take place in Watts, CA, on December 19 and 20. This is the hometown of TDE Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, as the events are held at the Nickerson Gardens Housing Projects.
Meanwhile, TDE’s concert and toy drive officially kicked off on Tuesday. As a result, performances were delivered from some of the biggest artists on the label, such as SZA, Jay Rock, SiR, Zacari, ScHoolboy Q, and more. Moreover, the concert was also joined by Compton native, YG.
On Wednesday, TDE is set to continue with their toy giveaway, which includes various forms of gifts to children in attendance, as well as a job fair, and free barber services for local residents.
This event also comes amid SZA celebrating a massive year for the label. This includes her receiving the most Grammy nominations for 2024, with 15. That is as a result of her Billboard 200 chart-topping sophomore album, “SOS.” The album’s deluxe, “Lana,” is also coming soon.
