SZA will record “Lana” album from scratch due to leaked songs
Since the fall, fans have anxiously been waiting to find out the release date for SZA’s “Lana” album. This would be the deluxe edition of her 2022 Billboard 200 chart-topping and Grammy-winning “SOS” album. Back in December, SZA teased various cover arts for Lana, but never put out a release date.
However, it appears that SZA fans will have to now wake much longer for the Lana album. This comes as SZA vented in a now-deleted tweet, about how three songs from the album have been leaked. Therefore, the emphasized that the album will now be recorded from scratch.
“So, we’ll make this really simple, Y’all leaked three songs from the deluxe. At this point, y’all can keep the throwaways and leaks. I’ll be starting ‘Lana’ from scratch. Do not ask me about it again. Thank you.” She added in a follow-up: “I’ll round up the leaks y’all already got and u can have those. Seems like a fair deal. ENJOY.”
Moreover, this also comes after SZA initially vented about songs being leaked, in January. As a result, she even went on to threaten legal action against those who continue to do so.
