SZA says she has broken ankle after being seen with crutches at Grammys
Last night at the Grammys, SZA scored her first Grammy win. She was featured on Doja Cat’s 2021 smash hit single, “Kiss Me More”. This was in the category of Best Duo/Pop Performance. That collaboration went on to peak at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also appeared in Doja’s third studio album, “Planet Her.”
At the Grammys, fans also noticed that SZA was in crutches. She even sent on stage with the crutches, to accept her award, with Doja. After the ceremony, she went on to reveal that she hurt herself, the day before the Grammys. This was due to falling off of a bed.
Now, SZA has taken to her Instagram stories to speak on the injury even further. The singer initially thought that it was just a sprained ankle, but it’s actually broken. In her IG stories, SZA was seen at a doctor’s office, getting the ankle examined. She added that she chipped the corner of her ankle.
“Lmao welp it’s confirmed broken,” SZA explained. “I thought it was just sprained (crying emoji). I was NOT missing that carpet.”
