SZA threatens legal action against people leaking her music
On Saturday night, SZA took to Twitter/X, to call out people who’ve been leaking her music online. Moreover, she labeled this activity as “stealing,” and anyone who participates in this is a “f*cking thief.” Furthermore, the singer even decided to threaten legal action against those who continue to leak her unreleased music.
“LEAKING MY MUSIC IS STEALING . THIS IS MY JOB . THIS IS MY LIFE AND MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. YOU ARE A F*CKING THIEF AND I PROMISE TO PUT MAXIMUM ENERGY INTO HOLDING EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW . I AM TIRED.”
Meanwhile, this comes as SZA is coming into the Grammys next month as the most nominated artist, for 2024, with 15. This came as a result of having massive success in 2023, with her new sophomore album, “SOS.” This was initially released in December 2022, and went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. This was the first number one album of SZA’s career, and the first project released by her, since her 2017 debut studio album, “Ctrl.” SOS contained 23 songs, including collaborations with Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The album was led by hits such as “Snooze,” “Shirt,” “Good Days,” and the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Kill Bill.”
