SZA’s “Kill Bill” was most streamed song by a female artist in 2023

2023 was a massive year for SZA, as a result of her sophomore album, “SOS.” That project was initially released in December 2022, and went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. It also marked SZA’s first number one album, and was her first project since her debut album, “Ctrl,” in 2017. Moreover, SOS also spent its first six weeks at number one, and 10 in total.

Meanwhile, one of SOS’ biggest hits, “Kill Bill,” has reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, it was the most streamed song by a female artist in 2023 in the US, by audio streams, with over 803 million.

Two months after SOS’ initial release, Kill Bill went on to reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and became SZA’s first number one song. In March, the official remix was also released, which contained a huge feature from Doja Cat.

Meanwhile, SZA is also nominated for 15 Grammys, next month. She is also the most nominated artist at the Grammys, for 2024. Kill Bill is in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best R&B Performance.
