2023 has been a massive year for SZA, as a result of releasing her highly anticipated sophomore album, “SOS,” in December 2022. That project went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. Moreover, that was also the R&B star’s first project since her 2017 debut studio album, “Ctrl.” Furthermore, SOS spent its first six weeks at number one, and 10 in total. As a result, SZA now has 15 Grammy nominations for 2024, the most of any artist.

Meanwhile, one of SZA’s records from SOS which also dominated in 2023 is “Snooze.” It reached a peak of number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as the acoustic version also featured Justin Bieber. Now, it has also just reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, Snooze has become the only song to spend every week of 2023 on Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Meanwhile, fans are also waiting on SZA’s new “Lana” album. This is meant to serve as the deluxe edition for SOS, but SZA emphasized that it will feel like a brand new project. She initially teased the idea of a December release, as many believed that a release on the 15th may happen, due to her sporting No. 15 jerseys. Those photos were displayed in potential Lana cover arts, on Instagram.
