SZA’s “Snooze” goes 4x platinum after Grammy win
This month, SZA had a major night for herself at the Grammys. She came into the awards show with a leading nine nominations, for this year. As a result, she went on to take home three more Grammys. These included the categories of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best R&B Song and Best Urban Contemporary Album.
One of SZA’s records that earned a Grammy this year, was for “Snooze,” in the Best R&B Song category. Meanwhile, this 2022/2023 smash hit has reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, it is now certified 4x platinum in the US. This comes after selling over 4 million units.
Snooze initially appeared on SZA’s sophomore album, “SOS,” in December 2022. That project contained 23 songs, including collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and the late Ol Dirty Bastard. Snooze has been a consistent Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit since then, as it peaked at number two. Currently, it stands at number seven. Last year, the remix even featured Justin Bieber, as it was an acoustic version.
Meanwhile, two days ago, SZA also released her new “Saturn” single. She initially previewed this at her Apple Music Live performance. This record is anticipated to appear on her upcoming “Lana” album. SZA initially teased various cover arts for it, in December, but there is still no official release date yet.
