SZA continues to win big, with her new sophomore album, “SOS.” It was initially released on December 9, and has since gone on to remain at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart, for five consecutive weeks.

SZA’s momentum remains red-hot, as SOS is now at number one for a sixth straight week, with an additional 119,000 units sold, according to Chart Data. SOS also becomes the longest running number one album by a female artist, released in 2022.

This album was initially led by singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” Following SOS’ release, SZA added “Kill Bill” and “Nobody Gets Me” as the latest singles. The visuals for Kill Bill were released last week.

SOS contains 23 songs in total, as SZA also collaborated with Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. This project also earned the biggest R&B streaming week ever, in its opening week. SZA initially announced the December 9 release date for SZA, during her “Saturday Night Live” appearance, the week prior.

SZA will also venture on her first tour, since 2017, in promotion of SOS. This will kick off on February 21, in Columbus, OH. The tour will last for a month, with it concluding in March 22, in Los Angeles.

SOS was also SZA’s first album, in five and a half years. That previous project came back in June 2017, which was her debut studio album, “Ctrl.” At the time, that went on to debut at number three. The deluxe edition was released last summer, in honor of the album’s 5-year anniversary.
