SZA’s “SOS” sets new Billboard 200 record

This weekend, SZA officially secured her third straight week at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. This was with her new sophomore album, “SOS.” This past week, it sold 128,000 units. At the time of its initial release, SOS also had the biggest R&B  streaming week ever.

In addition to SOS being the number one album in the US for a third straight week, it continues to make even more history. According to Chart Data, it now becomes the first R&B album by a female artist to spend its first three weeks on the Billboard 200 at number one, since Beyonce‘s 2013 “BEYONCÉ” album.

SOS contained 23 tracks in total, as it was led by singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” SZA also collaborated with Travis Scott, Phoebe Bridgers, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Don Toliver. There have also since been even more fan-favorite records on the album, such as “Kill BIll,” “Low” and “Love Language.”

SZA will also be venturing on her SOS North American Tour, starting in February. This will kick off on February 21, in Columbus, OH. The tour will run through March 22, with two shows taking place in Los Angeles.
