SZA’s “SOS is fastest R&B album on Spotify to get 2 billion streams

SZA has been flat out dominant, with her “SOS” album, over the past month. It was initially released on December 9, and has gone on to become the number one album in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart, for four consecutive weeks now. This project was led by singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” 20 out of the 23 songs on SOS also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. SZA also collaborated with Travis Scott, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Don Toliver, and Phoebe Bridgers.

When SOS was first released, it had the biggest R&B streaming week, ever. However, even more streaming accolades for this project are here. SOS has now surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify, which now makes it the fastest R&B album on that platform, to do so. This was done in 33 days.

This week. SZA also went on to release the video for the latest single off of SOS, “Kill Bill.” Fans applauded the visuals here, as a cameo was also made by Vivica A. Fox. SZA is also working on the visuals for “Seek & Destroy” and Low.”

Currently, SOS is also on pace for a fifth straight week at number one. This comes after a tight race for that fourth straight week, as it was competing with Taylor Swift’s “Midnights.”
