Today makes one month, since SZA released her highly anticipated sophomore album, “SOS.” This project was led by hit singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U,” and “Shirt.” 23 songs were available, including collaborations with Travis Scott, Don Toliver, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and Phoebe Bridgers. 20 out of the 23 songs initially went on to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Sunday also marked SOS’ fourth straight week at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. SZA was in a tight race with Taylor Swift’s “Midnights,” but SOS came out on top, by selling 125,000 more units.

In addition to remaining at number one, SOS has set another new Billboard 200 milestone. According to Chart Data, it’s now the first R&B album by a female artist to spend its first four weeks at number one on this chart, in this century. SOS is also the first to do this, since Janet Jackson’s “Janet,” back in 1993.

SZA has since scored even more fan-favorites on SOS, such as “Kill Bill,” “Love Language,” “Low,” and “Blind.” Over a week ago, she also teased the visuals for the upcoming Kill Bill music video.
