SZA’s “SOS” album reaches 2x platinum status in US

This week, SZA’s new “SOS” album returned to the number one spot in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. 99,000 more units were sold, as this comes after the album initially spent seven straight weeks at number one, after its December 9 release. SOS was also SZA’s first project since her 2017 debut studio album, “Ctrl.”

SOS has now achieved another major milestone, following its return to the top of the charts. According to Chart Data, it is now eligible for 2x platinum status, in the US. This comes after selling over 2 million units.

SOS was led by hit singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” 23 songs are on the album, as “Kill Bill” has since become the latest single. Fans were impressed with the visuals for that record, as it also peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

SZA’s SOS North American Tour is also beginning later this month, on the 21st. The first show is taking place in Columbus OH, as 17 shows will be available on the four. The final one will take place in Los Angeles, on March 22.
