SZA’s “SOS” surpasses “Ctrl” as her most streamed album on Spotify

SZA’s “SOS” becomes her most streamed album on Spotify

Since its early December release, SZA’s “SOS” album has been dominating on the charts. It initially debuted at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart, marking her first number one album. SOS went on to spend its first seven weeks at number one, and 10 weeks in total.

SOS was in high demand as it was SZA’s first album and project overall, since her 2017 debut album, “Ctrl.” SOS contained 23 songs, which are led by hits such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U,” “Shirt,” “Kill Bill,” and “Snooze.” SZA also collaborated with Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

However, SOS has just reached another major milestone. It has now surpassed Ctrl, as SZA’s most streamed album on Spotify, according to Chart Data. Ctrl is regarded as a classic album to many, as it soared SZA to stardom, in the summer of 2017. That was led by major records such as “The Weekend,” “Drew Barrymore” and “Love Galore,” featuring Travis Scott. It debuted at number three in the US, and is 4x platinum. Meanwhile, SOS has quickly reached 2x platinum eligibility.
