T.I. delivers special message to Barack and Michelle Obama, apologizing to them for last night’s loss

t-i-17At its core, hip hop is politically driven, brought about to give a voice to the voiceless. Despite T.I. emerging well past the conscious era of hip hop, he was always politically active. In 2004, T.I. spoke on the election, but believed himself ineligible to vote, due to being a felon.

However, T.I. learned this fact wasn’t true and voted in 2008 for the eventual president, Barack Obama. Joining the likes of Pusha T, Jay Z, Chance The Rapper, Big Sean, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and more Tip endorsed Hillary Clinton. Last night, she lost in shocking fashion.

T.I. was hurt by the results of the election, which has now been conceded. He didn’t address any of the candidates, instead sharing a photo of Barack and Michelle Obama with a message. In the message, T.I. apologized to them for the Obama legacy not being preserved in the White House.
