Throughout his career, T.I. has always been connected to Jay Z. Early in his career, T.I. worked with Pharrell, who was already working with Jay and he made the comparison between the two. A little later in his career, T.I. began working with Jay Z.
In the late 2000s, T.I. seemed poised to be the emcee to take the torch from Jay Z. Well-documented setbacks stopped this from happening, but T.I. continued winning. Years later, Jay Z created a new business situation for artists.
Thus far, Jay Z got Daft Punk, Lil Wayne, Usher, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, J. Cole, Rihanna, Madonna, and countless others to join TIDAL. Outside of this, they have done many exclusive concerts, recently topping off at 20 million with Kanye West’s stream. Tonight, T.I. did his TIDAL concert and announced himself as the streaming service’s newest owner.
