T.I. is now a college professor at Clark Atlanta University as he will be teaching the “Business of Trap Music” Course

How does Professor Tip sound?
This morning Clark Atlanta University announced their newly inked collaboration with rapper, reality television star, and community activist T.I. “Tip” Harris, that includes him teaching an undergraduate course called “Business of Trap Music.” The class will be taught alongside hip-hop scholar Dr. Melva K. Williams and is scheduled for its inaugural semester this fall.
Sounds too good to be true? That’s what we thought until the ExpediTIously podcast host released his very own statement confirming the news.
“HBCUs have a vital role in our community and have managed to withstand even while being some of the most under-resourced institutions. Our national HBCUs continue to underscore the fact that we have always had to do more with less. I am excited to be partnering with Clark Atlanta University in my hometown – Atlanta.”
That’s not all that the proud Rhythm & Flow judge had to say.
“I applaud their [Clark Atlanta University] innovative approach to ensuring their students are educated beyond the traditional textbook curriculum” “I am honored to lend my voice and unique experiences to the betterment of today’s young people and to do my part to lift the legacy of historical black colleges and universities across the nation.”
Love or hate the Atlanta rapper but one thing that’s certain about Tip? He never hesitates to do what he deems right for the Black community.
T.I. is extremely vocal on social media for standing up and speaking out against racism across the country and actively participates in protests, organizing panels to discuss racial injustice, and even going as far as paying funeral expenses of those that have unfortunately lost their lives at the hands of law enforcement.
Clark Atlanta’s about to get a lot more lit with a living legend in the classroom.
