T.I. scores gold certification with “Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head”

Trouble ManLate last year, T.I. made good on his promise to redeem himself with fans and drop an album full of hits. It was T.I.’s first album in two years and it looked like a fresh start for the Grand Hustle Records’ leader. Even though it seemed like T.I. would be starting anew, he was without one major partner.

Before establishing a deal with Atlantic Records, T.I. dropped his debut album. But, his mainstream success came alongside Atlantic. What is a new start for T.I. without his longtime partners? Unable to land a $75 million deal from his new label, T.I. decided he and his label would operate independently.

This past week, T.I. had a lot of success with his music and he is still pushing the initial album, Trouble Man. In several interviews, T.I. has confirmed he was working on the sequel, He Who Wears The Crown, which will drop this year. But, Heavy is the Head went gold this past week.
