Fifteen years ago, T.I. put himself on the map in a big way. The legendary rapper was already two years deep, as his first record deal didn’t work out. Many people thought T.I.’s Trap Muzik was his debut album, but everyone knows it was his sophomore LP.
T.I. has since gone from being one of the most-popular rappers to being one of the smartest businessmen in the industry. He has his hands in several ventures, among them TIDAL, and a show on BET. Now, he is back into the business that made him his first million, music.
Recently, T.I. stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” sitting down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. He stopped by to talk about The Dime Trap, his tenth album, and Dave Chappelle’s contributions to the album. This led to him speaking on how trap music came about, his trap history, his celebrity status, and more.
