Once “The King of the South,” T.I. has become a background player, while Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Future, Kendrick Lamar, French Montana, and even Nas have risen to prominence over the past year. Meanwhile, T.I. has remained in the background, developing the talent on his label, Grand Hustle Records. Currently, his top priority is Iggy Azalea.
When T.I. was released from prison, last fall, he and B.o.B. hit the ground running and both announced their new albums. In the following months, B.o.B. released his Strange Clouds album, while T.I. continues to work on Trouble Man. Initially due for release early this year, T.I. has delayed his album until late in 2012.
T.I. plans to close 2012 with Trouble Man and he recently revealed the artists he would be working with on the album. Among those he is working with are R. Kelly, Cee Lo, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000, Usher, Trey Songz, Trae tha Truth, Juicy J, and more. Speaking on each of the indivdual tracks he has with those artists, T.I. said each was special in its own way.
