T-Pain is suing Young Money, saying Lil Wayne owes him $500,000, at least, for “Got Money,” Wayne’s 2008 hit

Since the end of 2014, Lil Wayne’s career has been in limbo, as he is demanding Birdman pay him the $56 million owed to him. Ironically, he has his own legal drama to deal with. Nearly a decade ago, Lil Wayne joined forces with T-Pain to create some classic music.
Lil Wayne went all-in on 2008 and his gamble paid off, asĀ Tha Carter III was that year’s most-memorable album. Led by “Lollipop,” featuring the late Static Major, Wayne went on a strong run. The third single was the single, “Got Money,” with T-Pain.
Continuing his chart domination, Wayne introduced Mack Maine in the video, which had cameos from Ray J, Birdman, a then-rising Nicki Minaj and Tyga, a then-unknown Bambi, and Travis Barker. As dope as it was, not everyone was paid, apparently. To correct this, T-Pain has filed a lawsuit against Young Money for $500,000.
