Late in the summer of 2005, T-Pain made his debut, with “I’m Sprung,” which became a huge record. Even though his name and album title, Rappa Turnt Sanga, seemed familiar, he was a new artist. A lot of his vibe came off as a one-hit-wonder.

T-Pain may have had one-hit-wonder vibes, but he was going to forever change the game. The second single, “I’m In Luv (Wit A Stripper),” became his signature track. A year later, he proved to be no fluke, when he dropped hits off his second album.

However, T-Pain would go on hiatus, following the release of his third album, returning in 2011. Going on another hiatus, T-Pain briefly returned in 2013. Once again, he is back, with OBLiViON as his new album, as he sits down with Gary Vaynerchuk to discuss his album, his impact on hip hop, and more.
