Takeoff shooting suspect Patrick Xavier Clark’s bond reduction request is denied; Still set at $1 million

Takeoff shooting suspect denied request for bail reduction

It’s been almost two months now, since the tragic passing of Migos rapper Takeoff. That was as a result of a shooting that took place outside of a Houston bowling alley, that he and Quavo were at. An argument ensued between Quavo and a group of men during a dice game, as shots were soon fired. Takeoff ended up being hit in the head and torso, as he died at the scene.

An arrest in connection to Takeoff’s death has since been made, earlier this month. This was 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark, who was taken into custody by Houston police. His bail was set at $1 million, as he also reportedly attempted to flee the US, by purchasing an expedited passport.

Clark has since been attempting to get his bond reduced, and is maintaining his innocence. He was even able to get a judge to pay for a private investigator, due to not being able to afford one, at $5,000. However, he has been denied his request to get his $1 million bond reduced, according to KPRC 2. This comes after Clark was able to get the $2 million reduced.

This was denied by a judge on Wednesday, in Houston. Clark’s legal team attempted to get the $1 million lowered to $330,000. He is also still being viewed as a flight risk.
